Got a good laugh yesterday afternoon. Was talking to a guy at class and he told me he would see a gain of 100hp off a "custom" exhaust---- for his V6 Camaro!!!!

I told him if he could make an exhaust that would net a 100hp gain, he would be a millionaire.

 

Sure he could. "Custom exhaust" = turbo. Easy 100 hp

 

Agreed, but not what he was saying.

The catch was that it was a ford(anything but the new 5.0s ofcorse.)

 

Broke **** in high school claiming he had a 67-68-69 (depending on the day) roots blown Camaro with 1200 horsepower. No one ever saw it and the parts were all "custom".
Numerous people who think ls 5.3s and 5.7s are "the old 327 and 350" respectively. No arguing with them. Finally got my grandpa to wrap his mind around it

 

Huge solar electric powered centri blower (can they draw a vacuum?) scavenging the cylinders. Custom cam timing so the intake charge doesn't fly out

 

Any gas lifted 4x4 with huge tires that gets 20mpg

 

i vividly remember red light racing a truck that had "a 383 stroker" in my 2007, 126 stock hp corolla and walking him haha
