Default Opinions.. on what i should do about my problem with the dealer tomorrow

Hey guys just wanted ur opinion on how i should solve my problem with the dealer.. i don't wanna be too harsh or forgiving with them..

i have a 2012 Mustang 5.0 6 speed and my trans wasn't shifting into 3rd at WOT which seemed to me like a synchro issue from experience the car was with them since 1/29 till today.. it stayed a whole week just to identify the problem and i constantly told them it was the synchro that was worn.. 2 days ago they told me they did not have the parts in stock so they will have to be ordered, which will take them 15-25 days and probably another 5-7 days to install it, this is ridiculous but they offered me a car to use till they resolve everything, i told them i have another car to use but thats not the issue, a synchro takes a week max to swap out if their really busy, why are they a dealer if they don't have parts in stock? also we only have 1 dealer in the country so theres no one to go to.. so what do u guys suggest i should do? i am really frustrated and it sucks not having my car

I wouldn't expect them to have it in stock, and face it man, it's going to take time to get to Dubai. The only thing that seems slightly out of line was the diagnosing time, and the week to put it in once they get it. Just my $.02.

To bad they won't let you order the part yourself. And then have them install it. That would probably cut the time in half. But that is what you get at dealerships.

Im sure it's much different than here, but I have sued under lemon law before. if your car has a driveability issue and is in the shop for 30 days or more accumulatively (1 or more visits that total 30 days) you have a case. The clutch fell apart on my Mazda 3 after 3,000 miles and they refused to put a new tranny in, and they rebuilt it...3 times, and never got it right.

I wouldn't let them slide at all, make sure it's perfect. I tried being nice and it bit me in the ***. Lost reverse, lost 5th gear, reverse lights stuck on, etc. it was insane. All because they didnt want to buy a new tranny under warranty (new model, no remans yet) and insisted on rebuilding it. It cost them 10 times more than it would have to just throw a new trans in it.

part could be on back order happens all the time the dealer has no control over how long it takes to get parts, also think about it there is no way for a dealer to keep every part for every make and model they sale they would have billions in inventory , hey if they have offered you a car be thankful they dont have to.

I worked at a chevy dealer and we had a customer wait over a month to get injectors for his Duramax. It happens sometimes.
