Not Sure Where To Start Looking...
Hey guys. I haven't been on here much lately, but I could definitely use some advice and opinions are greatly welcomed.. So I originally purchased a 2007 nbs ecsb in march of 2013 with the L33, with a rustless, mint body and a reasonable 106k kms on the truck, I had planned on a throaty 400ishwhp cammed setup, but between setbacks and changes in the industries I work in, as well as it being my daily things never really got underway. now that it's sitting at 244k and climbing, as well as the dents and dings, rock chips, and basic damage due to it pretty much turning into a dirt road warrior over the past 3 years (90% of my daily driving is gravel, since I work in rural locations) it's too late to pull the trigger now, and plans have definitely gone in a different direction. This summer will be a personal milestone for me, and falling in the heart of my busy season, I plan to celebrate by purchasing another truck to turn into a weekend warrior while I continue to daily this one. I have 6 months to make up my mind, and am unsure whether to go nnbs 4.8 and swap to an lq9 or nnbs 5.3, as well as if i buy a high mileage 4.8, would the Lq9 or Lq4 be a better option? I'd like to keep the swap and go fast goodies under 10k, but am unsure as to whether to go turbo or SC.... what would yall recommend? my main goal is a 4x4 around the 500-600whp range on pump, but as reliable as possible considering when the weather is nice, i'd likely daily it in the summer months.
The biggest question i'd like some input into is how much slower a ccsb nnbs would be over a rcsb nnbs, considering the crew cabs 5.3's around here are on par with the v6 reg cabs as far as price is concerned, and wouldn't have to spend the money on an engine swap.
Not sure if this is the right area of the forum, but i figured it's a good place to start with unbiased opinions and advice.
Thanks Folks

Swapping in a 24x motor into a 58x crank truck does require more money just so you know. To me it's another headache or situation that I wouldn't want to deal with. I also prefer the gen 3 computers for tuning but that's just me. Also if you kept the gen 4 motor, you have to buy DoD/AFM delete kits on the 5.3's, another thing to buy.
Also swapping in a 4L80e in a early NNBS is still possible to handle the power you wish to put down, it's just another few steps involved.
I don't know if you are hard set on an NNBS truck but if I was going to buy another to mod, I'd go NBS hands down. Then whatever motor it has, just turbo it and call it a day. Any of the motors will handle 500-600hp without issue on stock bottom end, so no worries there.
My NNBS crew cab is around 5500-5600lbs. A single cab truck is going to be atleast 700-900lbs lighter and that's alot when it comes to how fast the truck will be.

Launching!
Agreed, get a NBS and call it a day bud. I personally never likes the nnbs looks.
The engines are good for what you are looking to make as they are so not much needed there, free's up money to spend elsewhere

nbs' in good shape are hard to find around here, especially with anything under 150k miles is almost impossible, i'm pretty much deadset on a 08-11 reg cab shorty and the guys on the facebook group have convinced me to just turbo the 4.8...
sounds like flipping the manifolds, welding on flanges to support the hx35's, intercooler, 450lph pump, 80lb injectors and a new rear end is all i'd really need, minus a tune and built trans when the stock one takes a ****.. what else would you guys recommend?? would i really need a cam/stall etc for a street beater?

A cam and stall are just extra's, they aren't always needed.
I'd drive a street truck on stock cam/stall with a turbo anyday. At 500hp it's not like getting traction will be possible with street tires anyway.
I'd go single turbo over twins, less things to worry about.
