Sorry this in not about a truck, but I am asking it here cause there are some pretty knowledgable guys here. My question is:
I am build a car that will see occassional track time and I am making my own floorpans since the subframe is no way near stock and I was wondering if there is a minium gauge thickness for floorpans you have to run to pass tech? Factory is ~18 gauge.
I was planning on making the floorpans out of 18 or 20 guage with beads rolled in them. From my calculations 20 guage will save me about 50 pounds and be a little cheaper.
Thanks in advance.
