nope. it will be sitting for awhile longer. we have to finish up the pinks car and then get it all dialed in and then fix whatever we break or didn't think of then dial it in some more, apply to get on the show and then i can think about working on something else. all the while fixing up the house and paying down the credit cards could sit awhile, thats the nice part of having a hotrod(not DD anymore), it doesn't have to run and doesn't cost me much just sitting there.

Is that a 5.3 or a 4.8? It seems like my factory tailpipe was bigger than that...but maybe not. I might just be used to looking at this diesel-looking Magnaflow joint.

There's a factory "fix" for those sticky TB's. They've been plugging the idle hole in the butterfly, then opening the throttle stop to a certain voltage reading from the throttle position sensor to regain the proper idle. Supposed to keep the butterfly from seating shut in the TB. Cleaning it will help but only for a few months then the stick will come back. I've been going through it since I bought my truck. They had a TB recall early on and got that and the problem persisted. Then they started the rubber plug and adjustment thing and I haven't had a problem since.

BTW, I'm also wondering when your new truck will be in the 10's.
