Default New Camaro dubbed ZL-1 instead of Z/28

Read somewhere this morning that Chevy has officially announced that the new Camaro will indeed be called the ZL-1 instead of the Z/28

I agree with the name, personally.

Thoughts?

Either one would have worked for me, as long as they make it! Lol...

I read that the zl1 will be about 15k more than the SS. Who knows how accurate that is..... On a side note this thing has 4 fog lights, and i like it.

Im assuming you ment 2010 camaro as there was no 09.
ZL1 should be pushing out about 550 hp. Bit more then the cts-v but a couple hundred pounds lighter assuming it doesn't gain to much weight, which would make it about a high 11's -12.0 flat car with amazing handling from the magnetic suspension. Should be sick but exspensive.....50k american or 60k canadian is my rough guess even though the Canadian dollar is worth more.

The original ZL-1 was an iconic, limited addition aluminum block 427, It's been on my "if I won the lottery wish list", so I'm a little torn about the new Camaro wearing that badge...although the new Camaro will outperform the old icon if I'm not mistaken, so going by using performance as a standard, I guess it's OK. Hey, if I had the dough, I'd get one...than I'll have the ZL1 that I always wanted, but with a warranty!
