Installed my vette servo tonight... Everything went really smoothly and got it back in the trans easy. Put the snap ring back on, and wasn't sure it was seated correctly. I've heard horror stories about going WOT when its not seated correctly. I did everything I could, anyway I could think of, to check if it was in good. Figured it was so I put the heat shield back on and took it for a spin. Did a few light throttle pulls and could tell a little bit of a difference over stock. Finally decided to do a WOT pull... I punch it, only to hear a PING noise. my heart sinks and I'm thinking well ****! I let off the gas and coast to my neighborhood entrance. I hit the brakes and then hear a PING noise again coming from the bed of the truck. I get out and look and come to find an empty damn dr pepper can in the bed.
Moral of the story, dont test drive with **** in your bed!

I was waiting on the "My trans is toast" statement.
I've done that **** before too, got a big 3 cell Maglite that rolls around in the back floorboard. Kind of gets your attention when you hear that metal to metal clink.
