i recently moved a 5xxxlb safe into a store and the best way to do it is go rent a penske truck with a lift gate. when moving it use a pallet jack or furniture dolly and the most fun is getting it up stairs. the elevator in the building was only rated to 2500 lbs so we build rapms out of 4x4's and 1" plywood covered in Crisco and used a warn 10,000lb winch and dragged the ****** up 4 stories and slept the next three days.

Go rent a safe dolly. Most tool rental shops will have them.

Lay some 10ft 4x4 in the bed and put some plywood on top. Use it for a ramp with the tailgate off but make sure to load the safe on the ramp while its in the bed. Protech the bed and a solid ramp. 3-4 guys could easly move it around on a good furniture dolly.

Man I'm just glad to see you're asking questions on how to go about it the right way. I load gunsafes on a near-daily basis and you wouldn't believe the **** I've seen; almost like people just bought a 1K lb. safe on impulse. Getting it in the truck isn't a problem; we've leaned one up against a tailgate and lifted it into the back of a truck many times. Just plan ahead and unloading it won't be much worse. The funniest I've seen was when we loaded an 1800 lb. Browning safe into the back of an Envoy......I really wanted to follow them home to see how they got that one out.

LMAO...pay 300 bucks and have a company with insurance (damage to your house and their workers) do it. Oh yeah, I already said that earlier.

Whomever you get to come, get another guy to do the video taping and pics for us.

Please entertain us with a story after you've accomplished your task...

IDEA!

Get a winch, wrap the line around something overhead, tie the cable securely around the safe, lift it, drop safe onto dolly.

Since nobody else has asked, do you really have 34 guns or close to that?

My safe weighs in at about 800#'s. 16 ft trailer with a drop down rear ramp. Used a 2 wheel dolly. Up and down the ramp and hauled standing up with a lot of strapping. Myself and a big buddy. At one point I actually took it up a flight of steps like this.

I should have said its going in the garage. Its going by the wall up on the ledge part. You know where the vehicles park is about 3" lower then the "walk-way" part. Its going there. And yes I have enough guns to fill it up, actually more
