Default Need help with my 07 Impala (power seats)

The passenger side seat is powered but it will not raise or lower. My head is truly 2 inches or less from the roof. When I go to lower the seat it only tilts forward and the back does not lower at all. It makes noises like it wants to but it just does not go. I have done a little research but no luck in finding what I am looking for.

Does anyone have any input or ideas as to what I can do to get it lowered?

If it makes noise an doesn't do anything the gears on track or motor probably worn out. There usually made of plastic. You can usually find another from junk yard

It's under warranty, I'll call the dealership and get it in to them. Just was seeing if anyone had any helpful tricks.
