been using an old school dell latitude pent 3 for about 4 years now (dad's previous company computer for about 2 years) that works FLAWLESSLY. granted i beefed up the hd and put some memory, but it's wicked fast. also, just acquired ANOTHER latitude from my mom's company for $250-dual core, etc, etc, and it's bitchin.

lovin these dells, and the new xps is just sick.

Well i went to "weird stuff wherehouse" today, it has been on "mythbusters" and other tv shows and learned that I may have casued the failure by leaving my battery in the notebook and keeping it plugged in all the time.
I went to th Sony store at the mall and the guy here said the same thing.

Picked up a new "extended life" battery at frys. 7200mAh compared to 4200mAh and for $139 so I am all set. Called Sony Monday and they just told me I'm SOL.....screw Sony, they lost a good customer.
