Last night my neighbour Garnet was having a bonfire on his farm with his wife and two sons. They ran out of firewood, so he hopped on the quad to get more. Not sure what happened, but his whole family watched him crash. Now he's in a coma. If anyone could send happy thoughts his way, I'm sure his family would appreciate it.

About 50% sure alcohol was involved, and about 80% sure a helmet wasn't. Yep, definitely couldda been avoided, shitty deal nonetheless.

 

Prayers and thoughts go out to him and his family, hope he pulls out no worse for wear. I have seen to many crazy things happen at bonfires the last sevaral years.

 

Wow that really sucks. Is he in an induced coma (they do with drugs to allow him to heal a bit before moving around)? He has my happy thoughts.

 

I don't think it's an induced coma. So far the story is that he was in a coma when they found him face down inthe mud, and didn't come out of it over the entire trip to the hospital inthe ambulance. It's hard to get real info in a small town, but the outlook for ol Garnie ain't good.
