If you didnt know.... Its based on a video game. I know what you are thinking.. This movie cant be good because NONE of the movies that have been based on a video game have ever been good. This is by far the best movie to come from a video game. The plot borrows heavily from the first two Silent Hill games and the sound track could be right out of game.

The first half of the movie was outstandingly disturbing. They did a great job of conveying the confusion that the mother looking for her daughter in a town that just isnt right must have felt. Near the end there is a moment where they try to make it all make sense. At this point I feel it missed something. Something that it never, for me at least, recovered from. For this reason I cant give it a full V8 rating. I am going to have to give it 7 cylinders.

I really hope they include alternate endings on the DVD as the games have different endings depending on how they are played.

 

I went to this movie tonight.I must say not having played the games i was goin WTF?Most of the movie.
I think it was a good movie but since i ahd no idea how the story began till 3/4 through it, it was kinda annoying.
All in all the movie did explain itself...eventually and it turned out good.

 

it sucks ***! wasted my money.....
