Military.... Fleet Week '07... :)

I just got back from NYC yesterday... besides the lack of organization and all the usual "hurry up and wait" games, it was a blast... I probably only bought 10 drinks the entire time I was there... but had plenty more than that LOL...
We worked a lot and did a ton of ceremonies and parades but we played hard too...
if you have ever been, post up and tell how it was for you... I enjoyed it for sure.

I just found these pics surfing. I did the tour on our country's bi-centenial....1976. It was huge, I mean huge. I got to tour a missle cruiser and aircraft carrier. At 15 years old I was very impressed

Edit: I guess it wasn't "fleet Week" but rather Op sail and Naval review but it was fun anyhow

I went in 2001. I really wish I had gotten up in time to go tour the WTC with my buddies...
I had a blast, free drinks, free subway rides, free drinks, head of the line everywhere we went, free drinks, signing autographs
, women stealing parts of my uniform, free drinks, returning to the ship in my uniform shirt, missing my hat, ribbons and pants (wearing sweat pants???). That's just from what I remember. There were a lot of free drinks and fuzzy memories!
