I got a few text messages last night tryin to guess the problem.....

I guessed either a hole in the tank or filler neck was loose....
Never would have thought about the lock ring..
I know when i put the 255 and Fuel Level Sending unit in mine getting that lock ring back right was a severe PITA!!!

that's funny.
I was heading home one day and seen an old chevy pickup just squirting gas out from under it while going 70 down the interstate.
it was like the fuel line had a bunch of small holes in it. even at that speed you could smell it.

I was suprised it didnt throw a code myself LOL... I dug though the tune and DTC's and everything trying to find something that would point to it but it never surfaced... I havent smelld gas since then obviously LOL... and you are right Carey, it took exactly $70 last night to fill up $3.19/gal for 93... hey at least its not $4.19 I guess.

Jonathan, Yeah, I wouldnt have won that guessing game myself LOL. It was just funny to see it laying there all crooked and **** when I pulled the bed. And the truck never showed any signs of it... You could see the stains on the tank from the fuel spilling... I saw them before that but never thought much about it, it didnt look like it was a whole lot... so I figured 'eh... it cant be that bad... I guess I was kinda wrong. LOL
