mjhoward, just how "fast" is your truck?

I got a little boosted dodge on 25 #s when I feel the need to crank it that high, I use the truck to pull it every now and then!! Its just a 4 banger too............but smokes Z06s, stangs, and a ton of others!! Built pretty solid.

Ill find him again sooner or later, and hes gonna find out how "slow" chevys can be. You could tell he was a total tool buying into all the Dodge commercials. Even if he did have a Superchips programmer, intake, (He didnt have any type of aftermarket exhaust) Its still not going to be enough for him.

What was funny was when I turned to follow him I turned the Tow haul on (Nelson Tune converted) It really barked the tires when it shifted from 1st to 2nd and he looked back very concerned. Thats when he got on his phone.

I think he was just trying to be cocky with his truck. Come on your on a 2 lane road both at the front of the stoplight and he want to race and yet he turns right on another road? He knew he was gonna get his *** handed to him.

Also a Hemi motor on the dyno where I go did 250 rwhp (rcsb with intake and exhaust) So the dyno were I did 300 might be a little lower than whats actually putting out. Plus I dynoed in 85+ degree weather.

This guy that dynoed 250 with a RCSB hemi, with rims and roll pan (and of course the gas tank cover that says (Jet fuel only). Ran into me about a month back. He wanted to play and I took off 1 time from a 30 roll and scared the **** out of him. 2 weeks later I saw his truck in a Autotrader for sale! I wonder why?

Hemi's are all hype at this point in time. Unfortunately, almost everybody who knows nothing about powertrains buys into the crap.

I just have to shake my head everytime i see that rear glass sticker that says "yeah, it's got a hemi"

Woh, chill out dude.......................the post I did was about "speed".......nothing there negative at all, I like running turbos as well and was just asking how "fast" it was, not trying to start a pissing contest, so chill man. You didn't see me saying nothing about racing a truck either, now did you? But for a HEMI, it is quick to weigh in at 5,000 lbs, but not a drag racer by far.

There are so many Silverado guys sporting the rear glass sticker that reads "Here Hemi, Hemi, Hemi" because theres such an epidemic around here of retarted hemi owners.

The other nite I lined up next to a rcsb one. We were lined up at a light, the road ahead turned into a two lane road so i knew i had to gun it. He gave me a few revs, I threw him a few... got going and put about 2 lengths on him by the time it became a single lane. It was a guy driving, and it was a good looking truck, that nice blue color they have, had the "yeah its got a hemi" decal... so the next day i happen to see a blue rcsb hemi, decal in the window and all...i chase after him to see if its the same guy. After i got next to the truck noticed that it was a girl and her friend... I got next to her at a light and asked, "didnt i see an older guy driving this yesterday?" She said, "Ya im his daughter, he said he wanted me to drive it bc he'd probably be selling it to me soon" So I threw her a thumbs up and told her good luck with it... I wonder why he was selling it to her? Hmmm

she was hot too.. probably around 19 yrs old or so. Should have told her she needed to get rid of it and just ride with me if she ever wanted to ride in a real truck JK hemi guys.

You "ain't" right dude!!!! All jokes aside, I miss the modding ability from my 99 silverado, but I'm still happy with the truck I have now. It has a little bit of speed, looks good, and its dependable. I beat on the shelbys for excitement now.

who "ain't" right? lol!

oh ya.. no doubt, the dodge hemi trucks are quick *** bricks. I think the hemis will become much more modable in the next couple of years. I was just busting the dodge boy's ***** about this guy selling his daughter his truck... it probably wasnt bc of me.. i just like beating up on the stock/slightly modded ones... but I cant wait till they come out with some serious power adders for them, they are going to be a handful.

I have a guy in Florida that is doing some looking into the tranny and torque management set up, thats the biggest enemy it has right now, superchips programmer helps a little, but not a great bit. Seems as if they measure trans temp a bit in their series of TM, the hotter the fluid, the more it cuts the truck back, so you kill the temp issues and it cuts some of it out, more than you would imagine, it IS helping the TM issues a bit. Already seeing 2-3 tenths improvements with it currently on a truck in Florida, I'll report the outcome when the finals are done, but it was a simple mod, just placed in a big trans cooler and an electric fan and took away the factory cooler. This also helped cool the engine a bit more as well since the factory stuff is cooling the engine only. if I can get a few more tenths with what I have done since the Rock back early this summer I might see a 14.1 or 14.2, possible for a 13.9, that would be sweet, but I don't know about it running that hard, will have to wait and see when the time comes. I'm running a 14.6 now with justa few mods, heads, exhaust is the only real mods, no programmer or anything, and thats on the factory 20s in street trim.
