Default Is it me........

or has this site kinda died down in comparison to when it was located on tech?

It just seems kinda boring these days. Personally speaking, it takes much longer to browse the site since everything is so spread out now.
Am I the only one that thinks this way? Seems like this place needs a fresh touch of something.

You are not the only one. Just the first to post up about it, I believe.

I'm right there with you.

IF this is to be looked at in a business sense, when the customers (users in this case) are leaving and the "business" is dying off slowly, but continually, maybe some things need to be rethought. Do I have any ideas? Not at this time, (its 3:30am)

It's every bit as active as it use to be. It looks like less at times because there are more forums to post in rather than grouping everything into 5 forums. You guys have suggestions, bring them up. But do it in the site suggestion forum. I think the pace here is what we expected at this point. Remeber, it's still only a few weeks old. Oh yea, and school is back in, this time of year, these things slow down a bit.

I'm hoping as it grows we will be getting or attracting more knowledgeable people in here. The guys who are here will be gaining knowledge too, its just going to take a while. One thing that I think is good and bad is having multiple brands here. I personally don't have anything against other brands, its just allot of the info from non-GM guys is brand specific. What is good is that some of the ideas conceptually will work on just about any brand.
What I don't like is the inability to jump over to the F-body area to ask questions. They had so much information it was overwhelming at times.
Allot of very smart people too.
I think in the long run we will be better here where we are getting serious answers and feedback from other truck guys without some of the eye rolling we probably got from the F-body crowd.
Not saying we were not taken seriously all the time, but you could sense it often enough.
But to answer your question, yes it does seem slower at times. But we have way more forums here!!
I for one am happy to be here, I did have my reservations at first when the jump was made to our own site but where else do you get this much fun and information?

The only thing i found missing is all the trolls, which is a good thing. Were getting better info and less I like the new site. Things can only get better.

I agree it's a good site but it is spread out comare to what it used to be. I don't think the f-bady crowd roled there head's because probly half of them also had a truck in one form or another. I myself have both and wouldn't want to give up either but the f-bad would lose if I havd to for praticality reason's. as for idea's the only like I can think of is maybe since it slowed down some put less used forums together more maybe be less looking around that way. just a though

CrewCab - You seem like a "Glass is half empty" kinda guy.

I think Greg summed it up pretty well. One other thing though. It's the summer and this is a slow time for websites. Winter time is a stronger time for most boards.
