the patten of numbers changes

what ever the symbol for 99 is going to be the symbol in the globe. It based on math, the example they give is 35, so 35 would be 3+5=8 35-8=27, so what about 36? 3+6=9 36-9=27 get the idea, so all the multiples of 9 are the same symbol making it impossible to get the wrong answer.

Seriously it's all math.

Simply put, do an equation. Say 73. 7+3 = 10. 73 - 10 = 63. **The symbol for 63 is a crescent moon and star.** Then do the same for 55. 5+5= 10. 55-10=45....the symbol for 45 is a crescent moon and star. Try 19. 1+9=10. 19-10=9 which is a crescent moon and star. Every round the selected symbol changes, so the next round you could do all the same equations but the symbol would be a cross or star or something.
