Only had mine for a couple months but so far I am loving the breed. have always had retrievers in the past so this is the first "large" breed dog. He is wicked smart and great around my son and other kids that have been over.

He is stubborn though... guess he is taking after me..

This is from this morning. Chilling on the couch with my niece.

My son think's he makes a great jungle gym.

Tennis ball lasted all of 5 minutes

They always want to be where you are..

i love those dogs. are they high energy or needy? I always see them just lounging around, like a cat.

He has his moments but usually he is happy just lounging around and being near us. I went from a Lab and Golden retriever to him so it's a complete 180 from what I am use to. He still needs exercise obviously but a 15 minute romp in the yard and he is tuckered out and ready for a nap

I love my dog, but after him, im done with large breed. Otis looks like my kind of guy. Or a boston terrier to keep it in the bulldog family. A king size bed isnt enough and ill have to devorce the wife to get the dogs out of the bed. And i mentioned dark wood floors with a white dog right? :blowmybrainsout:

My son found this guy at the street races in Dallas in 2001. His name is Regal. If your familiar with the DFW area you know where his name came from. He was only a couple of weeks old and had been dropped off and was in very bad condition. The vet wanted to put him down but he had a lot of heart. We nursed him to health and has been a very dedicated part of our family for 13 years.
