Please don't take this wrong way not trying to come off high and mighty, just concerned parent =).

Many dogs do not like being hugged or having their necks wrapped up like that. I know that's instinct for most children but it's also a very high cause of unwanted dog bites. Not saying your pup would ever do that, but they are still dogs and anything can happen.

none of the 5 pit bulls we have had ever cared. In fact, it's the opposite, they crave attention, any attention.

 

my dog doesnt like to be hugged around the neck...because i start with a hug, and it ends in a body slam! he's grown smart to my tricketry.

I also thought my golden would never bite my son and she did unprovoked..


Anyways.. back on track dogs sleep in odd positions...

 

No worries. And mine like to sleep very oddly as well.
