sounds like a personal problem. why drag the entire country down because of a few weak links. sure i could use the money. everyone could. but think of the whole picture instead of just your own pockets. thats what is selfish.

I am against the stimulous. I don't find it to be the problem
I am unemployed and receiving unemp. pay. I spend about two hours a day on career builder and other sites. Another hour calling places.
I'd love to just drive around looking for jobs/and or work, but that costs gas and when I can only pay rent and not buy food, gas is precious. I have 7years exp. as a supervisor in a grocery store and can't get a merchandising job from anyone. I got laid off two days before xmas from a drillin rig.
I'm not defending anyone. I just don't like how people think it's really easy to just find a job right now. Its a shady time and nobody is hiring. I have a hunch though that i'll get a job soon, I have about 15 pending applications in the petroleum industry haha

As far as helping the economy goes and actually getting us out this mess....I think this package will do much more to help than Bush's did. I didn't vote for Obama, so hear me out....some of the items in the package for the housing market will actually stand a chance of getting people buying houses again (the actual purpose of the package is to get consumers confident and spending like normal after all....not just to put a fat check in our wallets).
I think this is a step in the right direction...not a final, end all be all solution, but a step!

Sux to hear that. Yeah, it's hard to know what it's like... What's the old saying, until you've walked in someone's shoes...
Good luck to ya'...
