I say give each TAX PAYING citizen their portion and let them stimulate the economy!
I know if I got say, 150K AFTER TAXES, I'd probably spend all, or most of it, as I'm sure over 70% of the population would; paying down debt, buy a house, a new car, toys for the car, trips, college education, the economy would grow.
And those that save it, will put it in banks, which would give banks money.

Trickle-UP economics...

Uh, it seems I remember 14 million going to Ireland for the religious wars that have mostly been over for 10+ years.

if you split up 700 billion dollars between 300 million tax payers. how much money would you get? hint: its not anywhere near 150k.

its not an "economic stimulus" plan. It's just another big gov't spending plan that is aimed at creating more dem/lib social programs that just waste hard working tax payers money, cause its we who are paying for it. Look at all the useless "pork" spending involved.

I guess when you say people need this money you are saying you like social programs that waste taxpayer money? Whats funny (actually its not) but what the dems are calling as "tax cuts" in this package include assistance to unemployed families, child support, federal medical assistance and other crap. This is not a time for spending, give back tax cuts to WORKING families, cut small business taxes as that is crucial to our economic growth. Business is Business and it will take care of itself, the gov't doesn't need to step in like they have a clue and make it all worse.

But its the typical Liberals in the current administration, they are more concerned about giving things to people who do not do anything for the benefit of the country than they do for the ones who work to build and defend it

The stimulus does include tax cuts to working families to take effect THIS YEAR.

they do but here's the chart showing what they also consider part of those "tax cuts". They are using "tax cuts" to their advantage: Look at the right side with the black line and arrow in the middle thats part of those "tax cuts"

if this is true... they can keep the 13 bucks

The president's signature tax cut was preserved — a break for millions of lower- and middle-income taxpayers of $400 per individual and $800 per couple. That's less than the $500 and $1,000 the White House originally sought, although officials said it would mean an estimated $13 per week extra per paycheck.

see thats funny you wanna use mine and other americans, hard working americans tax dollars to help someone who sits on their *** all day. I only help those who help themselves or try to help themselves. Someone sits at home unemployed whining but yet they aren't looking for a job, don't care, don't work to try to improve themselves, but yet they sure want that gov't handout!

If we all did what you want, why should we work then?

don't you understand its probably a little hard to find work right now? I work hard for my money and I currently have a decent paying job. But if they threw me out on the street, you know where'd I go. to get unemployment. AND SO WOULD YOU.
