Default Its been fun but i think its time

Im kicking around putting a smaller cam in my CC or a converter. But it'd have to be able to tow an s10 back and forth to the track since im kicking around getting out of racing my CC. These damn 5.0s are hard to keep up with in a tank when you dont have something that traps 110+ i havent really raced my truck all year other than a few punches with some friends and at the 1/8th mile during the PT.net truck meet.

Cam is 500ish
Converter is 1300-1400

S10 is god only knows

I dont have the desire to keep working on my CC anymore, i like cruising around in it more than beating on it all the time.

Decisions decisions!

Should have kept that 216/220 cam you sold me.

What cam/converter setups are you looking at for the CC?

Small trucks with lots of power are a lot of fun , just gotta get it to hook.

Boxed in frame, ladder bars, an QA1s on a 28" DR 24/7 should do well

That cam would have been too small for my 6.2

The 228/236 in my truck does good with a converter but i dont take my truck to the track very often anymore. I was thinking along the lines of a 218/226 or a 220/228 with a little less of a LSA for a towing style cam. If i go with a converter for the cam i have now it will be a circle d 3200-3300

Get a 3000 converter and call it good. You'll still be able to tow

stick that LS9 cam in it and be done!!
Will run so smooth and not cause any headaches or die /surge.
You will gain MPG i bet!
I am sure it will still run high 13s on a LS9 cam and drive like stock

dont be scared !!!!
I love my setup with stock parts!
