This has got to be the worst exp ever dropping a trany, I have done a a bunch.. 5 F%^KN hours to get it out.. Fought us the whole way, from exhaust bolts, to clearance issues with the bell hitting the heat shield.. Now I got to put it back in tom. I am not looking forward to this at all.. What a fukn joke, mickey mouse set up that is...

are you doing it on the ground or a lift?

 

Me and my buddy did it on his s10, we unbolted the body mounts and jacked the body up. Much more room that way.

On my lift, which angers me even more.. I mean nothing at all would come down, out.. Dropped the X member, the pipes.. It would not come down past the fukn heat shield on the driver side floor. So after a bit of fukn with it, i got my equalizer, thats right the BFH, some steel, beat the fukn heat shield up so the top of the bell would come down.. Like I said never had this issue EVER, I have done a decent amount of clutches, trany swaps.. Unreal.. The truck from hell

 

Having to pull the trans to change the slave is a joke enough as it is, then to have the trans kick your *** in the process, that's just adding insult to injury
