this was designed for law-enforcement (LE) use. personally i cant see any use for it for a civilian. if im in fear of my life enough to get out a shotgun, it will be loaded with lethal ammo, preferably with 00 buckshot and 1oz. slugs alternated

 

I agree with the above. While that technology is awesome it probably wont be realeased for civilian use and would be useless in a confined space like a home.
If self defence is your goal then you cant beat a Remmington 870 for $250
