First some back story. I live in a collage town. It kinda has a reputation of being a party school. The even made reference to it as such in an episode of King of the Hill. It has a 4:1 girl to guy ratio which doesn't help. Labor day weekend (as well as other holidays) can be down right dangerous. Horny drunk frat guys tipping over cars and beating the **** out of each other, and what not. But with 50,000 plus people floating down the Sacramento river increased police presents is not such a bad idea.

Because of this the city of Chico imports cops from the surrounding area to help keep the "peace". It feels like a militarized zone. The epicenter of all this is a street called Nord. I had to zig across Nord for about 30 yards. In this time I managed to get pulled over by a motorcycle cop that was parked in the shade. I got pulled over for having expired registration. My tags expired 5 days ago and its a three day weekend. The fees have been paid just waiting the Department of Motor Vehicles to mail me the new tags. The cop is just doing his job looking for drunk drivers. I joke with him "Your... Your. Not going to look in the tool box are you." The cop gives me a ticket for not having a front license plate. How weak is that. I will have to reinstall it and getting singed off and pay $40.oo. Then take it off again because it doesn't look right.

 

damn dude that sucks! I have tried to stay off the road this weekend, too many drunks!

 

I didnt even think about it when I drove untill I saw SOOOOooo.... many cops.

 

no ****..down here every 7th or 8th car is a cop just stay home and watch nhra at indy!!!!

 

man that does suck, at least it wasnt for something worse.
