I am about to sell my garaged track only vehicle (Always registered it as a non-operational vehicle) to a friend, however I am unsure how to transfer the title since as far as I can tell the transfer of title requires a smog check. Does anyone have any ideas how I could do this transfer of title without having to get a smog check? Considering the vehicle is only for track use I do not see why a smog check would be necessary.
Any help with this question would be most appreciated, especially since sale of the vehicle is something I wanted to have done before my wedding (A promise I made my fiance, since I'm going to be using the $ for a down payment on home.)
