Well I have a cam and DOD delete sitting waiting togo into my 5.3. I got to thinking that since I ahve to pull the heads and all I might look into an LY6 short block.

I know L92s and L76s are around the 2k range.

Whats a short block worth?

Whats a long block worth?

If I buy a long block and want to ditch the Square port heads for my 243s, how much are the heads, Intake, and rockers worth?

The stang will be parked for winter, so mods on the truck are on hold till spring when its not daily driven. I'm just trying to weigh out my options.

I'm in Texas so I'm kinda looking what people paid around here?

 

I bought an LY6 last year in El Paso for $1700. They have gone down about $100 since then from what I see.

 

ya I was figuring about 1600 for a complete engine. Did you find yours at a junkyard?
