It sucks here, My Dad and i are both unemployed.
I worked for a Restoration company dealing with floods and fires, usually insurance companies would pay for anything, now they are holding on to their money making what i thought would be a stable job not.
I have applied all over the place and have only had one call back.

We have had to let 3 guys at work go. The steel mill down here owes our comp over 100k, For a small company, thats alot. They arn't going to release the PO's to us till after the first of the year.. We have slowed down big time. Knock on wood I still have my job, but we cut back to a 4 day work week for a few weeks.. i have been selling the **** out of things on ebay and craigs list thowe.. It is going to get worse, but we will all pull threw it...

It's slow for us, sort of normal for this time of the year. But, I only know of one job on the books, which has to be finished in March. I've heard that we've turned down some jobs and lost some that we "though we had". Weird thing is that they hired 3 guys on my crew!?!?! (With only one big job on the books!!!) Must be something else in play or my obsevations are correct - company is stupid.

I'm freaking slammed at work. I work for a small Internet advertising company and our phone is exploding with customers calling because they are trying different methods of advertising since traditional print, TV, and radio is so expensive and everyone is looking to cut costs.
We are so busy I am actually turning away customers, working 7 am till 7 pm in the office then till 11 or 12 at home at night catching up on email.
Can't wait till the new year when everyone's budgets reset and we can really start raking in the dough.
