how do you stay motivated?

I have always been very competitive. I raced dirt bikes as a kid and raced pro am quads in my teens, did some jet ski racing and kart racing when I was younger. Each one of those sports/hobbies were financed on behalf of my dad and myself. Fast forward many years, now I finance my own toys, and I have moved from 5k in a car to 30k in a truck haha. I feel like locally I have a pretty fast truck and always like to go play when I have a chance but anyone who is decently quick in the area, I already know them and know how my truck does with them. With all that being said, I just loose interest in the whole drag racing/street racing thing cause its always the same ole stuff.
I kinda want to get out for a while but hate to sell my truck that I value so much because of the time and money invested. I know I will regret it later if I do sell it. How do you guys do it, park it for a while and get something else to drive........ sell it and re asses your priorities? Keep in mind this is my daily driver and would be replaced by a stock vehicle for a while, not that this one is a burden in any way, just knowing the power is there when I want it.
what are your thoughts on what I should do, knowing everynes situation is different.

just dont sell the truck!!! you dont always have to go out to the street races with all the douche ***** out there or to the strip to enjoy it! just cruising around, doing burnous and making idiots in their dad's mustang look dumb is what its all about!

Like mitch said, for me driving around busting random douchers in thier "sports cars" does it for me, sometimes i gotta drive an hour away for new blood but i do it hahah. One thing about my truck is that its a nitrous truck so driving around with 3xx hp, then the flip of a switch its 5xx hp, so its like driving 2 different trucks all the time, i think thats what helps me keep going.

The performance scene is passing me by as well. It isn't that I don't enjoy fast cars and whatnot but I get more satisfaction out of putting money elsewhere now and doing other things. I don't have any plans of selling the car because I still enjoy it but I don't see myself ever buying another truck or car and putting tons of money into it to make it faster. I'll either leave it alone of buy one already done.
