Whats new, it is such a joke, it will prob happen.. They will raise it, and the roads and bridges ext won't get any more attention then they do now.. Just a lame *** excuse to do it..

I agree. If the funds allocated for road projects were actually put to that use instead of someone sticking it in their pocket, do you think the interstates would be in such the shitty shape they are?

but i agree this is classic bs to scam more money out of the population. my favorite quote in that article was "instead of calling it a gas tax, we can call it a carbon tax"
slick politicians. people are driving less cause everyone is still feeling the gas hike we just got through, and they already want to tax us more on it? i'd like to run for senate or something.

Been in MI more than once. Was speaking for freeways (and roads in general) everywhere.
If anything, raising fuel prices yet again will have people driving even less which will mean less income (theivery) from the taxes. The government is making plenty off of us as it is. Just greed IMO. As shakey as the economy is, this would be one of the worst things they could do at the moment.

I have 65 miles from the house to work....Drove over 650 miles yesterday plus being sick plus no sleep in a little over a week. However, it was worth feeling like I've been ran over repeatedly by a Mack.
