Thinking about heading out to the track this weekend for a few runs. Not to state the obvious, but the track requires helmets regadless of ets. Makes since to me. Unfortunately, I do not have a helmet. From a quick search on-line at one site, the cheapest Bell was, I think, around 200. That is way to much considering the amount of use I will get out of it
(probably this weekend only).
What options are out there for helmets? I would hate to be detered from going to the track because I have to spend 200 beans for a helmet.

i just got mine from helmet city. $129 plus shipping. open face Snell SA2000
the track i go to requires snell 90 or higher. i read somewhere that starting next year, most tracks are going to require snell sa2000.
you can get them on ebay for less than $200 too. I've seen full face snell sa2000 for $165

So, after waiting 2 weeks, i decided to call helmet city today to see where the hell my helmet is. They told me it was shipped to Maryland to someone named M. Young. Great, I'm in New Hampshire. That really made my day. No track for me tonight. I'm out of town next week and the track closes the week after. Wow i'm happy right now.
