Default Helmet cam?

Ok well i like photography and videoing stuff and ive had several ideas about mounting a cam on my truck somewere and iv looked at the go pros but there a bit pricey for me.

I found this one for like $80
http://www.getoutdoors.com/goblog/in...Camcorder.html

Id like to mount it on my front bumper or even maybe inside the cab to see out the windshield or something....

Any one have any thoughts on this?

Thanks,
Caleb

Why not do what I did.. Get you 2 pieces of aluminum, atach it to your head rest post.. just use the mount hole on the bottom of the camera. Drill a hole in the end piece of the aluminum and you got your self a mount...

And it works well

If you look you can see another little aluminum plat that is infront of the rest pin. I just drilled 2 hole in the longer arm(that the camera mounts on) and the smaller one in the front. Then bolted them 1 in front and 1 in the back, tightened them so that they clamped the pin on the rest.. Only thing is that you need to adjust the seat tp get the right angle you want for the camera.. I am going to make it so the seat stays in the reg position, buy making a wedge up for the camera to sit on..

Why not make the clamp attach to round tube, then a sqaure tube fit over that that the camera attaches to, then tap a hole in the square for a thumbscrew so you can tighten it down on the round rod exactly at the angle you want it?

Cuz that would be entirely to much work.. LOL I might just take and cut the angle, bend it into the right angle I want, BAM done... No drilling and tapping..
