Been going through a divorce since late February, not much time and the focus of my life is just keeping my head above water. I still have my truck and should end up with it in the settlement but I have little to no money to even touch it now. Hopefully sometime over the next year when I get back on my feet I can get it back to where it belongs!!
Been riding my bikes a lot cause its cheap easy entertainment, and its faster than my truck will lever be! lol
Bought the bike April 2008 and ripped it down to the frame and engine, cleaned her up and replaced all the molested parts and slightly damaged stuff.
Just wanted to check in with you all

i feel ya i didnt go through a divorce but a break up and i was fixing too buy a ring.. and i took nitrious and all my other stuff and sold getting her crap and did ALOT for her and lost my job her and everything got me down pretty bad for a while losing everything. just now here lately been getting my head above water and trying too turn everything around to get everything going back good again its hard though. hope everything goes good.

 

Sorry to hear that man, I'm going to be going through a divorce soon also...I have a bankruptcy to go through first, then shortly after I should be getting served with papers. (wife wants to get the bankruptcy out of the way before we get divorced). The bankruptcy hearing has been postponed twice so far though, so who knows, I may get the papers first, as things are pretty bad. Keep your head up bud.

I've always liked your truck, it reminded me of mine before I lowered it, glad to see that you'll be keeping it. I should be keeping mine also, as it's my only form of transportation when it runs lol.

 

Thats why I'm not getting married for as long as possible.

 

Hey guys thanks for the well wishes!
Its been a long road of discovery for me for sure. My future EX has turned evil at some points far beyond what I ever thought capable of her. Scorned people do things you can never imagine them doing no matter how much you "think" you know them. It's all leveling out now I think but I will see soon. Its final on 10-15-09 so I will know soon if what the final proposal will be as far as who gets what. I am losing my house but it will enable me to make a clean break from her and end up with all my retirement money, no alimony payments plus a lil cash too.
A word of advise to those who may be contemplating divorce, get your **** together, start stashing cash if you can, talk to an attorney first so they can let you know what you are in for. Listen to your attorney, they have been through it countless times so they know the chain of events that will most likely unfold before you.

Oh ya, been spending a lot of time on this old Goldwing I bought too! I didn't think I would like it as much as I do since it's not really performance oriented but damm its fun to ride! $1200.00 bucks from a buddy made it a deal I could not pass on!
