Well....I'm presently in Bucharest, Romania working for the next few months. Haven't been able to get out much, due to working 6 days. But.....a bunch of us made the trip to Bran Castle, otherwise known as Dracula's Castle on Halloween. Made for a LONG, but interesting day. How many people can say they spent Halloween at Drac's place?

Seen it on TV...very cool you get a chance to visit such a historical place. The true story is more gruesome than the fiction.

Funny! VERRY FORKIN FUNNY!!!!! LOL That castle was built in 1377. Going thru it, I kept thinking "I wouldn't want the job of fishing all those wires thru the walls", when they finally electrified it, since they're all stone. We also went to a couple of monasteries, and other towns. The town of Bran is heavily commercialized, unfortunately. Went to Brasov, and Ploeisti, where the Allies unsuccessfully tried to bomb the Ploeisti oil fields. Left at 8AM, and got back at 9PM , but was very interesting. Had a very knowledgeable guide. I asked her what she did for a day job, and strangely enough, she works in a call center for AOL talking to people from the US on the 800 or 866 number. Said when you call the AOL help line you either talk to someone in Romania, or India.
