We still have a black lab that is about 5 years old. My son wants a new puppy though.

 

sucks man had to burry my girlfriends dog last night she had him since she was 5 years old, he was 16..last night he started having a siezure and bleeding out of the mouth, it was the worst thing ever watching him die like that.

 

I bet that was bad to experience. Sorry to hear that.

 

I am sorry for your loss i know it is something that will continue to hurt but my mom told me that when i lost my dog of 16 years that he had a good life and he was loved very much by all. it just reasure me that i gave him a good life and he had a blast living with us. I am sure you will be repaid in the future for your good deeds you did to help your dogs out.

 

Sorry to hear about that man, but you made the right choice and should be glad you were able to do it. My friend has a pit/lab mix that over the last year has just been ******* suffering... he won't put him down even though the dog can't hardly walk, his head is permanantly tilted to the side, and has turned into a skeleton. Even his bone structure has shrunk... the only meat left on the dog is the lump of cancer hanging off his leg. It's infuriating to see the dog in that shape, but you can't make someone else make that decision.

Again, sorry to hear about your loss, I've lost dogs over the years and like I said... at least you did the right thing for your bud.
