Yep, I may be here in Sicily alot longer than planed. I got arrested and charged with assault by a battery and drunk and disorderly conduct. This screwed up place here wanted to make and example out of me by giving me max punnishment and then admin seperating me. I could see if I was a regular drunk that did stupid stuff, but its my first time ever to get into trouble. Anyway, I threw up the BS flag and denied NJP (captians mast) and requested Court Marshall. I really didnt have much choice. In the end I'm sure I'll walk, but I still think its BS and because of it I have a chance on missing my third kid being born. So far I've only been there for one, thanks Navy.

Anyway, I will try to get more indebth later when I have more time to type.

That sucks last time I about got aressted for drunk and disorderly I was able to appreciate a fat cop who couldnt keep up

 

The Navy didn't get you drunk and disorderly and make you miss the child birth. You did all that to yourself. If you don't accept responsibility you'll just do it again.... and again.... and

 

No doubt there. BUT, they did charge me with assault on a person who charged at me and swung 4 times before I finnaly had to swing back. The BS there was that it was self deffence, not assault. They just wanted to charge me with it is because its the only thing they can seperate me for. This command has had alot of problems with there people and alcohol before I ever got here. They just wanted to use me as a way to try and prove a point to there people. That way maybe they could fix there problem without slamming one of there own.

As for the drunk and disorderly, thats just a side affect of the fight that happened, which I didnt start. So yes I went out and had a good time, but the charges are BS. I could see If i started the fight, or was running around being an ***, but I wasnt. I was outside a club minding my own when it all happened.

So I dont think that in this case I did it all myself.

On a good note, the Senior Chief that was trying to slam me and push max punishment got a DUI this last Friday, the same day he told me that you should always have a plan before you drink and how he NEVER drives after even one sip. What a bunch of bull. So you see, its this screwed up command. Not me, I'm just an unknown cop out for them to try and push problems on. F-that.

It's just not the Navy...there was a day when drinking and fighting was not only accepted but encouraged. Not that I am approving it, and punishment is definitely necessary...but drunk and fighting gets you a seperation? or even the threat of seperation/court marshall? Did you F him up or something? **** when I was in Memphis we were constantly arrested for fighting Marines in the city...definitely drunk....disorderly? yeh I'd say so.

On another note...a senior chief? E10? What rank are you? You should of backed down, ran even, don't fight khaki's unless you are one yourself...it is the military after all...you had to know they protect the seniors. Wish you the best man!

People who havent been there wont understand, I went to NJP I was in the Navy and got royaly screwed brig time, 45/45 reduction in rate the whole schebang over something miniscule I told the truth and I was made an example of. It really left a bad taste in my mouth honestly Im glad Im out **** those ***********, if my kid ever wants to join the service its gonna be marines or army somewhere where loyalty honor courage and commitment can be found it shure as **** isnt in the navy and the way todays military is going its not gonna be in any branch here soon.

 

I'm an E5 and the other guy was an E4. My blood alcohol was .284, so I definatly couldnt run 2 feet. I was doing good to walk. I only hit him once to get the point across, and it didnt even leave a bruise. He only got 14 days restriction.
