I updated the website.
If you don't have time, basically I haven't heard from anyone. I called this morning and they said they were going to send a rep out to look at the car again.
Tonight the original rep that I filed the claim with on the phone called me back. She was unaware of anything that had happened to me during all this. She said she would do her best to get me a check out soon.

Updated the website - GEICO SUCKS
Summary - Geico tried to put me off another week and a half before they would inspect the car for the 4th time. The new owner of the car told them NO, you have 2 days to view it.

Do they know you sold it? That might be a problem if the car was used at all. The new owner can't tell them at all how many days they have to inspect it, only you could. They could care less about the new owner, you were the one with the contract with them. If they know you sold the car, they more than likely will try to not give you anything. Don't lose any pictures, and document everything. Especially the damage to it before you sold it. Did you get an estimate for the repairs? If they quoted you, make sure you can get an estimate on paper. This will more than likely end up in a civil suit with them. Don't worry about an attorney, you don't need one.

They do know I sold the car. Everything is documented and there are pictures. They know they are in the wrong and know that I have contacted an attorney. 3 weeks is more then enough time to settle a claim. I have had other insurance companies settle a claim withing 24 hours of the accident. They have inspected the car 3 times already. The car is within 15 minutes of the current adjusters office. He can get his butt in gear and get over there, or I will take him to court.
The car was for sale before the incident that damaged the roof. That plays a factor in the claim.
All that matters is the car was owned and insured by me at the time the car was damaged.

Obviously, it is pretty difficult for them. All you have to do to realize that is google "geico sucks" and look at all the stuff that comes up.
Absolutely stupid. How are they still in business.

OK, they finally called me this morning. They are still talking about this"inbetterment" crap. I don't see how they would be "inbettering" a car when the NEW cloth top was damaged. They aren't covering all the dents either.
At least I am finally getting a check. $1100

Well, I finally got my check from Geico. $1108, not enough, but finally done.
I purchased the car for $1000 and had it towed to my mechanic. I purchased a updated intake new for $300, and he installed it for free. A few months later, the electric blend door motor crapped out. I got it from the stealership for $95, and once again, my mechanic installed it for free. So my total investment in the car was $1395, and I drove it for 2 years. I sold the car for $1000, and I collected the $1108 from the claim. Doesn't sound bad except the car booked low for $3900, and sells locally for around $7000.
All in all, I drove the car 2 years and walked away from it with $713 in my pocket. Hard to complain about that, but I could have walked away with a lot more.
