Guys and Gals Use Protection, Caught Something I Didnt Want

Yep I find myself wearing safety goggles more an more. They are a hassle but I've had to many small things find their way into my eyes. Nothing as bad as yours. I remember getting sprayed with gasoline in the eyes when I was a kid. That hurt.

I know exactly how you feel... Here is my thread from a year ago about the same thing...

If you think you still have something in there, go back to the hospital before it starts to rust... I waited and it started to rust and I had to see a specialist every day for 2.5 weeks.... I always where saftely glasses now...

BTW if you wait tooo long before you go back your eye will start to grow over the piece of metal, then they have to cut your eye and then they break out a dremel tool looking thing and grind all the metal and rust away... That is what they did to me, roughly 1 day after I initially hurt my eye... Magnets, water, drops don't work!!!!! Believe me I tried the same thing.. Your eyes are one of the fastest healing organs, so depending on hold long ago it happend it is probably starting to grow over the whatever is in there... Not trying to scare you, but the longer you wait the worse it will get.....

Damn man. That sucks. I have been a lot more careful with my eyes since getting the lasik done. I even brought safety glasses with me to your place, but I ended up just using my sunglasses when I needed some eye protection.
I hope you get it all taken care of without any problems.

A few weeks ago Eric (GCSD3742) came home with a scratched cornea, and it turns out it was rust. Not a good thing. Dr's had to look at it and he said they pulled a healthy little piece out. Then it was antibiotics for a little over a week.
