Got something new to me

Well I thought about making a new thread but I'll just go off of this one.
Not much progress has been made since I tore it down. With my complete drive terrain going that hurt the funds for the build. I do plan on taking the block to the machine shop in a few weeks to get honed. I have a set of LQ9 pistons now and a new relucator wheel and going to have that pressed on also. I am going to have a shop do the bottom end, going ARP everything. All new parts are going in the only thing that's going to be old is the pistons, connecting rods and crank. The rest are going to be new. I can't wait to get this thing done and have some real power!!

Its not the extra cubes that is nice, its by boring the block out to 4.03 you go with forged rods and pistons that give you a stouter more reliable rotating assembly.
A 383 is a 3.902 with a 4" stroke, a 6.0 block starts off life as a 4" bore so at minimum its a 402, or with a .03 overbore its a 408

BTW, what's a drive terrain? Is that 4wd specific?

So, u got the LQ9 pistons, whata bout the 224/224 cam w/. 112 LSA?
Why not hold out a lil longer, & get some nice custom pistons, & some HD rods? You did after all say u wanted to make some real power, but never said how much or ET goal. Going F/I or stayin N/A?

The LQ9 piston and rods are out of a 05 block so they are stronger the the 04 and under IIRC. I'm going to stay N/A since I could not afford a bother drive terrain blowing out on me.
My goal is 400 At the wheels, I would love to make it a torque monster. I'm not going the 224 any more I'm going custom grind but that's not going to be told what's it's going to be.
And for the post whoring... Your a thread *****!

Oh and as far as what times I would like to get into, I would be happy with low 14's high 13's. I have no clue what it's at now with the tune redone and stall. May go to the track one day and run it.

Good luck with the build...I hear ya on the funds being low and things taking longer than you expected bud
Haven't driven my truck in a year and a half...but I'm getting close.
Keeping the cam specs a secret huh? Hmmm, maybe I can get you to spill the beans at E-town
BTW, I just don't understand you post ******...you feel like you have to post in every thread...multiple times!
