Not too bad really but what doesn't show in the pics is why the whole truck is being painted over and the whole bed is being replaced.

All the white marks are showing scratches and dents from the big *** tree limb that fell on it.

Here you can see the point of impact on the windshield.


The limb then fell off to the side and smashed the drivers side mirror into the door panel and dented the crap out of it.


It was so long that it pivoted sideways when it came off the windshield and the other end smashed into the side of the bed and put a big crease from the wheel well opening to the top of the bedrail.


Getting ready for a new bed. Woot!

 

gnarly, my truck been naked like that before! I had a frame swap when I was attacked by a tree stump.

 

Trees are crazy!

Like Ents from Lord of the Rings and ****.... LOL

Shawn@Synergy was driving it to lunch one day and this damn limb from a Eucalyptus tree broke and fell onto the truck. It happened about a month ago. I told Shawn he could drive it around considering I left it at his house while we waited for my new converter to come in. So no blame there.

Scared the crap out of the poor guy. There are leaves and seeds all inside the truck as well as tiny glass shards from the windshield. Funny thing is when i opened the door the first thing I saw was a large cluster of leaves on the dash and that Beastie Boys song popped into my head "I got the trees on my mirror so my car don't smell"

I guess that would be considered "an act of god" for insurance. Really when the try decides it doesn't want that branch anymore and you are under it, there is nothing you can do but watch the show.

I was upset that it had to be repainted as I'm not too fond of insurance work paint jobs but I am paying a lil extra to ensure that it is nice with no orange peel and such. I'm keeping the same color also.

More good news. STS is smog legal so I may keep my kit and stick it on the grey truck.

 

I got to agree with ya about the paint. I hope it turns out good.
