Default got another tinker toy LOL...

I got a '49 Farmall Cub tractor...~11hp gasoline (still runs on leaded gas)

sideshaft steering, belly mower, steel seat, 3spd and a 168" long mower belt

still cuts grass like a champ, and is quieter than just about anything you can buy brand new... and you dont want to know what I gave for it

This isnt it, but it looks identical... it was restored about 7 years ago..

if you scroll down to the bottom of this page, this is the belly mower it has... 5ft woods mower deck

thats probably all I'll do with it... I have about 10-12 acres of grass to mow LOL... the steering has so much slack in it, it wont be any good for farming a garden with it... it wanders all over the place....

I did a tune up on the old man's other bigger tractor and gave him $30 for it I almost felt bad for it, except, he couldnt even use it anymore because of his back problems. after riding it around, I can see why he has back problems

Its slow and all that but its just the right speed for cutting grass and drinking beer... my little soft-side cooler hangs right between my feet

I might bring it to the track and drive it around in the pits.... I could pull my truck back from the shutdown area LOL...

between me and my brother, we have this one, a bigger gasonline farmall, a '85 International industrial model front end loader, '53 Cat D4 dozer (cable and winch operated no hyd) with 12ft blade, and a 70something Ford 3000....

2 brush hogs, disks, middle busters, 6 and 8ft tillers, and a backhoe attachment for the Intl. plus other misc implements...

We kinda have a thing for old equipment LOL... its just better to work with sometimes with close to 50 acres, we use every bit of it...

stuff's just not made like it used to be... old farm equipment like this just proves it.

Your not kidding, my Grandpa has a '67 (I think) and something from the late 20's early 30's, which both still run. The old one barely ran last time I checked, which was a few years ago, but it's ~70-80 years old. There's not a better way to mow lots of grass, and the '67 runs like a new.

My cousin's got a Farmall Super A from back in the 50's. Never been rebuilt and couldn't tell you the last time the oil was changed... still runs like a champ. Most of the time 1 crank of the old hand crank and she's runnin!

Something interesting that happened one time is that the rear differential isn't sealed to well, filled with water and froze... that bitch wouldn't move!
