29 rattles is 29 years I think I've only killed 4 or 5 here in ks and biggest was 4ft

 

we have killed 4 over 6' here at the ranch this year...here are 3 of em: the first one 2 of my grandsons were playing on the porch and oldest came in saying snake...it was coiled up about 5' off the porch and my youngest grandson was in his walker just right on the porch....my son is 6'5" holding up the snake.....the other one my wife kinda kept on shooting it with a shot gun saying it was still moving...lol....the other one died of lead poison as well...

My stepdad killed the one he is holding below. He could see it crawling across the field. He scared the living daylights out of me with it. We walked into his barn and he did not tell me it was laying on a tractor tire. My instinct was to draw as I was stepping backwards. I nearly ran over my step brother. LOL 14 buttons

 

Zeake, that is a big rattler. Looks like an eastern diamondback and the get bigger than the westerns. What state was that in?
