Gas prices in Europe still more than double U.S.

Does anyone have a clue about Venezuela?? I know they run tons of Ethanol in S. American but that still doesn't explain why it costs next to nothing for gas?? Is it government subsidies or is it just that cheap??

Venezuela's government subsidizes gas. I found an article from awhile back that said it costs the government upwards of $7 billion a year to do that....and that's back when gas prices where in the mid $2 range here

Anyone else notice thought that in the U.S. that nearly all of our cost though is just that cost. Most other countries are so high because of the percent taxed
