Funny how that domino effect works...
Rewind to last summer.
I get a bike, "the moms" (my mom and friends moms who all regularly converse) go crazy, including mine. I have no one to ride with, my mom is getting annoying. sell the bike (00 gixxer600).
One of "the dads" gets a bike and its all over. Another one of "the dads" gets an brand new R1. His son (my friend) finds a good deal on an R6, buys it. Within a few weeks, I get a ZX6R and my other friend buys a CBR. The R6 has some problems, is traded in and now he's rocking a 636.
pics of the bikes, incase you're not a bike guy

Well, I'm about 1 semester away from having a degree in mech engineering so she cant really do that anymore
It would honestly be the dumbest thing she could do. All it would do is keep me from going to law school, not take away any toys. What am I going to do? Sell a truck I bought new 2 or 3 years ago for $32k for less than $10k so I can afford insurance? A decent reliable running car will cost me $10k anyway so that doesn't help. All it would mean is that I'd have to work for 2 years to save up enough money to pay bills like car payment, rent and insurance through law school.
My dad sides with me, although he HATES motorcycles and HATES me having one. He pretty much figures that I'm 22 and completely understand the dangers of a motorcycle. I'm not the stupid invincible teenager anymore. Its not their job to make decisions for me when I'm fully aware of its consequences. I've done more things in college than most people do in 10 years of their lives to prove my responsibitily and maturity.
My mom, just like her mom, didn't really like the whole "kids dont need me anymore" thing so she is on powertrip. She figures that if she tightens the leash, when i leave i wont go as far or something. She was demanding me to go return my martini glasses the other day because she doesn't want me drinking. I found that kind of strange and laughed at it because she has known I booze it up for some time now and has always been fine with it. 5 years later and 750 miles away, she tried to revoke my drinking rights.
