My dad and I are looking into building one of these...



I think the old 5.3 would do well powering that thing

Yea..alot of companies are using the junkbox Northstars in those....that 5.3 would make that thing scat...

ive been wanting to build one of those forever, but the time it takes to fab it up is crazy, and the cost of a premade kit is crazy too. 5.3 would be PLENTY motor IMO.

The chassis alone with front and rear suspension is about $5000, which is not that bad IMO. List price on the complete rail powered by a 5.3 is like $30K, I think that buying the chassis/suspension and doing the rest, we can probably do the same thing for somewhere around $15K, use it for a few years or whatever, then sell it and get our money back out of it.
