Im tryin to find the water line to my house..any one know how? its pvc..i know where its goes under ground below my house but were it comes outside i cant find it..i know it goes across the alley, across my neighbors back yard and my water meter is in her back yard by the street..ive gotten a 1/8 rod about 3 feet long and welded some square stock to it to back a T and ive been pokin around every one..only bad thing..a 1 foot and half down is a bunch of rocks they laid down under the foundation i guess..maybe i should get some willow branches and start whichin for some water

you don't need willow branches. Cloth's hangers work just fine. just bend 2 of em to an L shape and hold 1 in each hand. watch for them to start spinning.
Why not just start at the meter and start diggin it up?

Dig it up from the meter to the house. If there is a wire by the meter and a wire where it comes in the house, this is a tracer wire. If you dont have one then you have to start where you know its at or just start somewhere. Your on the rite track with the t handle. Goodluck

don't know about your state, but here it's illegal to dig without calling "Louisiana One Call" first, it's a free service that will come out and mark all utilities for you within 48 hours.... just call and they come out with the equipment and start painting the ground to mark it.
