alright, i know this is a shameless plug, but my little bro is on his way to actually achieving his dreams of a musical career. a few months back, him & some friends realized they all had musical talent with an interest in the same styles, so naturally, they started a band. thing is, they quickly found a couple connections that hooked them up with a producer & a promoter, and after some reviews, they ended up getting a tour booked for this summer. in preparation for that, they just released their first single the other day. i understand most people don't regularly listen to this type of music, but give it a once-through - if you like it, great... tell all your friends! if not, that's fine too... just appreciate the musicianship & determination of these kids (i say kids, but they're like early 20s now). enough yappin... on with the tunes!!

I listened to it and it's gotta evanescence/mudvayne feel. I don't see how they can scream and yell like that cuz I've tried and it hurts the hell out of my throat.

 

haha, then you're doing it wrong. there's surprisingly a specific way to scream like that & not trash your voice... in the short run anyway. i looked into trying to figure it out once but didn't get too far

 

Not big into the whole scream thing but they could definitely do well with her voice. Amy Lee popped into my head too. Best of luck to them!
