Default Dyno Discussion....L@@K

I find it so funny when people discuss numbers on the dyno!

How many people have ever posted numbers and said " my **** was all out and wide open on that dyno pass"...... You never hear that, its always, well the dyno is stingy and i was on low boost and the correction factor is this blah blah.....

I understand that not all dyno's are made the same and some read different, but everyone wants to compare hp/tq numbers to yours and say "oh well he made this with only this and that was a low reading dyno!"

can anyone tell me who owns a dyno that will show the closest to actual horsepower and disregard all the bullshit? I know a vehicle in CO is gonna make different power than a car in FL but that is part of the game right?

I get tickled watching people do what I call nutswing off of others and say well you should do this or that? What are yall thoughts?

ducky you see what i mean over on the other site ole dude was just like oh you need this..... haha i found that so funny! If i wanted to spend the money to make a dyno queen, I would have picked a different power plant haha! I only posted numbers cause it was part of the program, you can't get it dyno'd and not post up the sheet with numbers haha! But i could make 450 for all i care ya know..... I know what it runs in the 1/4 and know what it weighs and thats all!! If i can run a 12.51@111 on 300 hp in a 5500lb truck then Im a bad *** haha!

ducky post some links to photobucket of your truck vids, for some reason they won't open for me and your photobucket is locked!

Yeah exactly. I mean more or less your dyno numbers are right. You take 40-50hp off from two psi of boost (since I am running 12lbs on a FAT *** CAM), especially with the turbo/cubes/how much it flows and your more or less right at your numbers. So its not that they are ABSURDLY low or even out of the ordinary.

I cant stand it when people bench race with dynos.Few years back i had herd my buddys T/A put 350 somthin down on the dyno.He went to the track and ran 11.80's at like 116 full weight....Thats when i gave up on dyno numbers. They make an ok tuning tool imo. thats about it.
