Default drove my buddys 4.8 silvy

and holy sh*T how do you guys survive lol. he came by and showed me his 04 extedned cab short bed 4.8 4x4. it has nice options, wasnt a stripper model.

well he traded in his wrx that he must have rebuilt a million times. anyways he wanted me to drive his truck cuse it felt werid down low.

nothing was wrong with it, i just had to inform him the lack of torque 4.8 has.

now im not hating on 4.8's just thought it was funny he made me drive it thinking something was wrong with it.

The 4.8 is a good little engine, it's just not enough engine for an extended cab 4x4 lol.

Lol I know. I have no issues. He not trying to race it or tow anything heavy. It's perfect. But going from a bolt on 6.0 to that was crazy. Even with my cam in and stock injectors with no tune I think I can easy away from him easily lol

Yeah I bet, my bolt on 5.3 feels like a missile after driving my dads 4.8 ex-cab.

When i was looking for a truck i drove a 2000 extended cab 4.8 truck, pulled out on the street and punched it. I looked at the salesman and said, "nope". turned right around took it back lol. they were scrambling to find a performance chip for it and i was like, "sorry it aint gonna help."

Try being like me... my FBO or close to it 5.3 RCSB, going to work everyday and driving around a RCLB w/ tool boxes 4.8... It's just short of depressing. There are several places where you have to pull off of a gravel road onto a highway going uphill... I feel like I'm going to get smashed every time.
