Shouldn't be too hard to put together with an old mechanical Cummins. A common rail would be way cool but hard to make work.

There's a 55 Ford truck running around here with an old IDI 7.3L in it.... Cool ****

Not a diesel, but this is my buddy Pats RR. Yes that is the super rare thunderV12 gm engine (700 ci)

A old cummins would be neat. They are cheap to find, all ya need is basically a hot and ground wire to run them

That's a sweet truck!

If I do a diesel rod, it's gonna have a little boost

If I built one of these it would have a hitch! Imagine seeing one of these things pulling a 40ft camper! haha

Just never saw the attraction to driving a tractor....... and still don't. So now you have some old uncomfortable cobbled together thing that is barely road legal if at all, loud as $hit and has B5.9A ( or whatever) clattering away in it...... Pass.

That is one thing alot of people over look and fail to see, big misconception. 99% of them are as road worthy as any car is. A ton of them have modern disc suspension, that has been painted to looked aged and rotted out. A guy we know has one that has a BRAND NEW engine in it, he literally tapped it up sat it in a field soaked it in water, sprayed oven cleaner all over it, slung mud on it, put it in. Looks 100 years old and is fresh as can be. Yes some are uncomfy but that is part of the style.
